American Baptist Churches of Metro Chicago Young Adult Multi-Cultural Leadership Training
The American Baptist Churches of Metro Chicago has gathered it's first cohort of young Adults (ages 20s to early 40s) - both lay and clergy - who are active leaders in their churches (or with leadership potential ) and representative of the racial/ethnic diversity of he ABCMC churches, to participate in a unique training in cross-cultural competence. Led by Rev. Dr. Marie Onwwubariri, participants will begin or continue their journey of becoming highly effective cross-cultural leaders within their ministry and/or home church and secular work context as well as within the American Baptist Churches of Metro Chicago and the denomination as a whole. Rev. Erica Van Brakle and her husband Rev. David Van Brakle were selected to be apart of the first cohort.

American Baptist Churches of Metro Chicago Calls New Regional Executive Minister
VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 1/17/19)—The American Baptist Churches of Metro Chicago called Rev. David Gregg as its new Executive Minister in a special meeting of the region’s Family Council on January 12, 2019. The body, which comprises one pastor and one other representative of each member congregation, voted overwhelmingly to approve the search committee’s recommendation to call Rev. Gregg, who will begin his service in late January.
